It is OFFICIAL, Maniac has parted ways with Mayhem. Effective immediately, Attila Csihar is once again the frontman for Mayhem.
Windir and Einherjer has allso stared up in new bands.
Windir is now Under the name "Vreid".

No contest on a looong time,so me and * holzmann decided to put out a contest now..
The subject will be 'Windir - Likferd'

for those that don't know the meaning of the word "likferd" it's like the journey between earth and "the land of the dead",but it can also be like a funeral.

As we all know Valfar of windir died 17.1 this year,and I would like to see all here at blackmetal@deviantart give their final greetings to Windir and not at least Valfar by making a picture inspired by the following topic : "LIKFERD"

to make your step in the contest just send a note with a link to the deviation you want us to submit!
the contest will be done about the 1 of June.

BATHORY mastermind Thomas "Quorthon" Forsberg was found dead in his apartment in Stockholm, Sweden on Monday, June 7, informed sources have told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. The 39-year-old son of Black Mark Records owner Börje Forsberg, widely considered to be one of black metal's founding fathers, died of an apparent heart failure. Valfar, best known as the vocal in the group Windir was found dead, A big loss for the Norwegian Metal community. He will always be remembered in our hearts! This is a sad day for the Norwegian Metal scene! R.I.P Valfar!

After 11 years, 4 albums and 2 mini-albums we?ve decided to split up Einherjer. We feel that we've made the album we wanted with Blot and therefore a journey of 11 years has come to an end. We would like to thank everybody who has supported us through the years...
